Finally got the lights on the tree!

This year it took longer than usual to get the lights on the tree; we are behind schedule! My hubby had to work some unexpected overtime because several of his co-workers came down with a virus that’s going around and so he had to work extra to pick up the slack. That’s ok because he gets paid good overtime pay for doing that, and the money is always welcome – especially around Christmas time!
Anyway, putting the lights on the tree is something that my hubby insists on doing himself – he’s very particular about how they go, and it takes him several hours to do it. I tried to help out one year and he was unhappy with the results, so now I just back off and let him take care of it. So yesterday my hubby devoted his afternoon to putting the lights on the tree, and I have to say it looks pretty good! So now I have the “all clear” to do the rest of the decorating, but it’s going to have to be a little bit every day since I have to work every day too! Oh well, it will all work out!
