They’re supposed to be helping, but they aren’t

I was sad to hear that a dear friend and former neighbor of mine will be losing her house to foreclosure in the near future. Her hubby was injured in a car accident last fall, and was unable to work for over six months. He did not get any disability pay while he was out, and the lawsuit over the accident has not been settled. They have been living on credit cards and her low income, and are struggling hard to get by. They asked their mortgage company for a special hardship forbearance on the mortgage because of the financial hardship they are in, and the mortgage company denied their request. So, they will probably be losing their house in the next couple of months. That makes me so sad for them.

I’ve been hearing on the news that this company has been bending over backwards to help people keep their homes, but from the details I’ve heard on my friend’s situation, they have been nothing but jerks in this instance and have done nothing to help at all. If I ever have to get a mortgage on a house, I will remember NOT to use that company!
