One of the more aggravating things about living in rural Maine is that all of the neighbors take advantage of the remote location and buy illegal fireworks and shoot them off on the 4th of July. I’m sure that they figure that the police are too busy to drive all the way out here to try to track down who is shooting off fireworks! But what is annoying is that the party-goers continue to shoot fireworks way beyond midnight, and the noise that they make keeps me awake. I don’t like to be a party-pooper, but I don’t like staying awake all night long! I wish these people would at least end their fireworks by 10pm!
