Got up early to start cooking the Christmas meal! I spent all day cooking, and need to cook a lot today, too. We’re having about twenty people over for dinner about 3 pm if they can get here! The weather may prevent a few from showing up, so we’ll just have to wait and see! Hubby spent all day yesterday clearing out an area in the dooryard for people to park their cars. I hope they come, so he doesn’t feel like he wasted all that time out there!

This year my family decided to create a major Christmas challenge. To come up with presents for everyone without buying anything! How do you think you could handle that kind of challenge? My response is to look at “trash to treasure” crafting. To use small pieces of fabric to make tissue box covers. Use scraps of yarn to make small Christmas decorations for the tree. Make and decorate bookmarks from the inserts from tissue boxes! What kinds of gifts can you think of to give to someone that won’t cost you any many to make?
