With the ever encroaching big box stores and Internet companies threatening the local economies of smaller towns and cities, I’d like to encourage people to try to support the local restaurants and businesses as much as possible.  After all, these local places are paying the paychecks of your neighbors, friends, and family!  If we don’t support these local businesses then we are endangering our own quality of life!

One great Internet resource to use for a local search for these local businesses is the local.com website.  This website is an online local yellowpages.  I love a bargain just as much as the next person.  Well, maybe even more than the next person, but if all of our neighbors are unemployed, then who is going to buy our own product?  This is a matter of self-preservation!  So please folks, try to use your local business.  The job you save just might be your own!
