I have to say that there are a lot of artists out in the world that just leave me scratching my head.  My friend Brenda was telling me that she found a website where she could buy a variety of shepard fairey art.  She was so excited about it, I was ashamed to admit that I had never heard of the artist shepard fairey!  At first I thought that she was talking about paintings of winged woodland creatures, and I was very interested in that!  I have a soft spot for fantasy creatures!  So I asked her for the website address and went there today.

I was surprised to find out that there were no little winged woodland creatures flying around that website; the website was selling art done by a contemporary artist that had created such modern art as obey giant art and Andre the giant has a posse.  I have to admit that I never quite understood the humor, or the message behind any of that art.  Makes me feel really “square.”  Hmmm… I just realized that I don’t even know today’s lingo for being un-hip!  I really am getting old!
