It has been many years since I’ve had a Snapple to drink. The primary reason being that I’ve been trying to limit my caffeine intake (doctor’s orders) to only my morning cup of tea. And if I could eliminate even that my stomach would be much happier. But I absolutely love their commercials! I found this video on YouTube this morning and thought it was a riot! Definitely made me want to go buy some! I wonder if Snapple makes any decaf?

House Key and Security Tip
I found a great tip on the Internet for people that have concerns about giving a housekeeper or anyone else that needs a key to their home to gain access when you are not at home. It’s so simple, I can’t believe that I had not heard or figured this out myself!
“Have a locksmith key your door so that your master key works on both the dead bolt and the doorknob, but theirs works just on the knob. On the day he or she comes, lock only the knob.”
I’d love to remodel the bathroom
For years I’ve been wanting to remodel the master bathroom to include one of those new walk in tubs with a built in spa. Naturally I would also want it to have a shower head in it so that I could take a bath or a shower – whichever struck my fancy at the moment. I’ve just started to feel a little bit nervous lately about climbing in and out of the bath tub. There have been a few times when I’ve started to lose my balance and almost fell.
Yes, I know that I could install some hand rails to help steady myself as I’m climbing in and out, but I’d really love to have a spa, and looking towards my geriatric years I’m sure that a walk in tub would be a lot easier to get in and out of. Especially if it is one that is made with wheelchairs in mind. After all, you never know what kind of curve balls life is going to throw, do you? May as well prepare for the worst!
Worthless coupons
I went to Joann’s Fabric today to buy some jewelry findings and found some dryer steam balls that I was interested in buying. I had a 40% off coupon for one regular priced item with me, so I went ahead and took it to the counter with me. The cashier told me that the dryer steam ball was already “on sale” for 10% off, so I could not use the coupon.
I told the cashier that I wasn’t going to buy it then, please put it back. I was quite annoyed because in the past couple of years it seems that every time I go to Joann’s with a 40% off coupon I can’t use it because the product I pick out is already “on sale.” I’m starting to think that EVERYTHING is already on sale there (except maybe thread and zippers!) so there really is slim to no chance of ever getting 40% off anything that I’m ever going to want.
No Peer Pressure Included With Online Classes
I’m so proud to find out that my favorite nephew has decided to do the right thing and further his education. He wasn’t the best student in middle and high school, he couldn’t seem to handle all that it takes to get good grades and keep out of trouble. The peer pressure was big issue for him, so we were all surprised that he actually made it all the way through and graduated with his class last June.
He thought that he could find a decent job with just his High School diploma, but as we all know, there aren’t many jobs available right now so he has decided to check into some of the Online Schools that offer online degree programs in game design. He is hoping that by taking courses online will be a better option for him versus the traditional classroom setting that he has so much trouble with. So this is something that we all think he would be good at, so we are trying to encourage him and help in any way that we can.
I have come up with a few links that I thought might be of interest to him. He is looking for some type of Student Aid and his first step is to go to the http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ website and fill out their form to see how much Student Aid he qualifies for.
With a large family, such as what we have, he receiving all kinds of emails and phone calls with advice and options that we are all trying to provide him with. Hopefully he will listen and take advantage of all this information and encouragement that he is being bombarded with and do the right thing, because he has to do something pretty soon, his folks will not be letting him just sit around the house doing nothing, as he has been doing for almost a year now.
