I found a great tip on the Internet for people that have concerns about giving a housekeeper or anyone else that needs a key to their home to gain access when you are not at home.  It’s so simple, I can’t believe that I had not heard or figured this out myself!

“Have a locksmith key your door so that your master key works on both the dead bolt and the doorknob, but theirs works just on the knob. On the day he or she comes, lock only the knob.”
