I have always enjoyed the drinks that Gatorade has brought to us. They have come out with a great variety of flavors these past years. The light purple Gatorade RAIN is my favorite by far, it’s too bad that most of the grocery stores around here don’t have that flavor on their shelves. I have to make sure I pick up a good amount when I find it because I never know when and where I’ll find it next.

The Old Media Is The New Media
Times certainly have changed for today’s Advertising Agency employees. Today it is all about the Internet and all the ways that businesses can market their products and/or services. Don’t get me wrong, television, radio, newspapers, magazines, billboards and the Yellow Pages are still being used but so much more is being targeted on the World Wide Web and today’s Advertising Agency is trying very hard to bring their clients into the 21st century.
I remember when I used to watch the hit TV show back in the 60′s – Bewitched – and how both of Sam’s Darren’s (the first Darren was replaced a few years into the show) worked for an Advertising Agency run by his boss, I think his name was Larry Tate. It always seemed to me to be a great business to be in. All the interesting clients that he had to deal with and all the places that he got to travel to while trying “seal the deal.” I can’t help but wonder what Sam, Darren and Larry would think of how things have changed so drastically with so much emphasis on today’s technologies.
I’ve noticed that Face book has really become a place not only for people to socialize and reconnect with friends and family, but many businesses are using Face book in various ways in order to get their name out there since so many are spending so much time on there. I don’t think many people or businesses are using My Space anymore except for numerous teeny boppers that are still stuck on it since it appears to be a whole lot more exciting with all the bells and whistles that they have to offer that generations. Face book is certainly much less dazzling in comparison.
Kool Aid
Once in a while it is nice to have a change of pace. I was brought up on iced tea and I go through a lot of tea bags each month. Yesterday I picked up some Kool Aid, Black Cherry, and gave it a try. It has been a long time since I’ve drank Kool Aid, but I have to tell you that I really enjoyed it.
Movie night with the gals
Guest post by Nance Tallman
I got an e-mail from Barbara this morning suggesting that our movie club girls come to her place tomorrow night and watch a variety of shows and movies that she recorded from her Direct TV over the last few weeks. Barbara’s husband will be out of town on business for the week-end and Barbara does not like to stay at home alone so she wants to turn it into a pajama party sleepover.
The last time that I went to one of Barbara’s movie night pajama party sleepovers Cathy drank too many wine coolers and became very obnoxious. I’m not sure I want to go to the party because I don’t like being around obnoxious drunks. I wish that Barbara would just by a home security cullman alarm system or a couple of dogs so she would stop being afraid to be home alone.
A huge waste
We have a freezer that has a tendency to pop open whenever anyone opens and then closes the refrigerator door. Unfortunately it only pops open slightly so that it goes unnoticed until I go to the freezer to take something out. Only then do I realize that it has been open for goodness knows how long, and almost all of the food inside has thawed. We have thrown away a lot of food! I keep asking my hubby to put a hasp on the door to keep it shut, but he has been avoiding doing it.
