Food Court – The Musical On YouTube

Can you imagine going to a mall, dealing with all the people and horrible customer service and then getting hungry, heading to the food court and grabbing a bite and all of a sudden a bunch of seemingly random people start singing and dancing? You got to love it! So funny – honestly if I could participate in an Improv Everywhere stunt I would be so tickled! I just missed one that if I had known about that I would have gladly traveled the hour drive to participate in last year. It was on the local news and then of course on Face Book and all over YouTube.

I found this on YouTube and it brought back the memory and made me laugh!

Pretty Shades of Wood

I have always enjoyed seeing the nice wood armouries that different people have their bedrooms and guest rooms. I’ve seen some real sweet jewelry armouries online recently that I’ve been contemplating purchasing. You can get some nice deals online these days. I look for free shipping (both ways of course) and other incentives for online shoppers, discount codes and coupons are always welcomed.

Researching your purchase online is a whole lot faster and easier and takes a lot of the guess and leg work out of the task. My mother took me to the local Sam’s Club last week, she has been a member with them for a long time and I always enjoy going with her looking at all of their great deals. They had some armouries that we were seriously looking at together, checking out the different sizes, the different pretty shades of wood and prices. I never really realized all the different types that they have out these days.

Now that I’ve seen some up close and personal like I feel better about looking online to find the best deal or possibly going back to Sam’s with my mother. One way or another I’m going to own a nice looking wooden armouries of my very own, especially since my mother intends to pass her’s down to my older sister to be kept in the family.

Please Recycle And Start Turning Green

I can’t believe that I let such a pile build up in my bedroom of junk, like old newspapers, magazines, the local Yellow Pages, old expired coupons and the like. I’m glad though that I do recycle and that all of these are paper products that can be recycled when I go into the part of town that has the recycling containers for the residences of this county to use. I wish that it wasn’t so far away and wasn’t on the side of town that is out-of-the-way for the majority of people to take advantage of. It is most unfortunate but most folks are still not participating in any type of recycling efforts at home or at work, and if you don’t make it easy for them then they just aren’t going to do a darned thing.

These days if I want to do local search for someone or some place all I have to do is go online to sites like local.com and I can find the local restaurants, pet stores, shoe stores, auto repair, etc with just a few clicks on my keyboard, so who needs the paper version of the phone book these days. Of course if you are still in the dark ages and don’t have Internet access you would still rely on the paper version, I just hope that when you are done with them that you would have the common sense and the decency to recycle them, just like I’m planning on doing. We all need to do what we can in order to be a “green” as possible these days and recycling is a big part of becoming “green” in today’s crazy world.

That Thong Song

I love hearing songs on the radio that I haven’t heard for a long time and then going on to YouTube.com and finding the video to watch and listen to. My recent discovery is Sisco’s “Thong Song” oh how I loved that song when it came out almost a decade ago. It’s funky and easy to dance to, gotta love it!

I remember going to one of the many school functions that I try and attend to show support to my sister’s kids; they had the 7th grade girls dance to this song and I totally freaked. You gotta remember this was over ten years ago, it had just come out and I was finally realizing what the words were and what the whole song was about and then to see this young gymnastic team at a public school do a dance to such questionable music.

I didn’t say anything at the time, but after it was all over and on the way home the subject came up and we all expressed our feelings about the song and the dance. Man, didn’t I feel like such a “prude” and so “old fashioned” about my reaction to the whole ordeal and of course every time I hear this song I think of that day.

The Sportdog 800 Transmitter and Receiver

Being an animal lover for as long as I remember I always have several animals in and/or out of the house. If we had a larger place and if the economy wasn’t hurting our finances year after year after year, we would have a whole lot more critters under our care. I have fostered a few dogs here and there through out the years which is something that I wish more people would get into. There are so many animals out there that just need a place and a family to love them until they can find the perfect permanent home for them to live out their life. I have had some really entertaining and loving dogs through the fostering programs that they have in this area.

We will be getting a new dog in a few months, when the weather is much warmer. We are going to find and adopt a retriever that hubby can train and work with as a hunting dog. He all ready has some of the equipment that will be useful for this type of training. I’ve trained many dogs, but never for hunting and retrieving. The recently purchased sportdog 800 will certainly play a key role in this process. This sportdog 800 is a mid-sized transmitter that will provide up to a 1/2 mile of range that they have combined with a small receiver (a very lightweight and comfortable piece of equipment) to put on the collar. There is a lot of really cool training equipment online that we are always looking at and am amazed at what all technology is providing us in the dog training world.
