Shelves in the shed

Several years ago I bought a Rubbermaid storage shed for our back yard.  I asked my hubby to install it on a bed of gravel.  But he decided that he’d just put it on the ground.  As a result all of the shelves that I try to put on the walls keep falling down.  When we first put the building up and the installed the shelves, I was thrilled!  I filled the shelves with an assortment of garden tools and planters.

I was thrilled to be able to take my outdoor planters out of the basement and put them into the shed – it freed up valuable space inside. But I was quite annoyed a few short days later when I went out to the shed to pick out a decorative planter to put a new begonia in and found all of my garden supplies in a pile on the floor! I have tried many times to fix that problem, but the shelves just will not stay up! I guess the only solution is to put in free-standing shelving units and be done with it!  I think if my hubby had installed the shed correctly this wouldn’t be an issue!  But I always learn to make do, and I think that is the answer to the problem.

Another Trip to the Vet

My dog is costing me more money for veterinarian bills than what I spend on my own health. Although I’ve heard of pet health insurance, my vet told me that it is rally a waste of money – you have so many limitations on what the insurance covers that you never get your money’s worth.

My dog started sneezing yesterday and it was violent sneezing. The poor thing was whacking his head on the floor with every sneeze. I was concerned he was going to seriously bruise or even break his jaw, or possibly bite off his tongue during a sneeze. He’s never done this before, so I was at a loss as to why he was having these violent sneezing fits. So, this morning I took him down the vet.

The vet says it might be a seasonal allergy and gave him a shot that should help him now and last a week. He said that if the sneezing comes back, to bring him back and they will run some tests.

I hope that he will be OK. I would like to know what he might be allergic to, but if it is trees or grasses, there isn’t much I can do about it anyway, so I guess spending the money on allergy tests isn’t really worth it except to satisfy my curiosity.

Tie Dye Fashions and Bongos For Sale

At the latest monthly meeting for the civic organization that I belong to, much of the talk was about the yearly “Yard Sale” that has given them such trouble in the past with making any profit from. Since I am still pretty much a new member of this wonderful organization I seem to always be raising my hand with questions, ideas, concerns, thoughts and suggestions, which I think a lot of the older members grow tiresome of my intrusions of their time each month. But that was the whole idea of me joining this community organization, which was to bring some much needed new blood and there is no holding me back!

The “Yard Sale” is going to be held on the Saturday of the Memorial Day weekend. We are going to try some different advertising, as well as some new vendors with some colorful and unique items to have displayed out front outside. I have convinced the Milky Way Tie Dye Store to set up there and they certainly have a great selection of bright colors that I think will attract a ton of people that would normally just drive on by. I am thinking of putting a sign with bongos for sale, with my old set of bongos that if some body really wants could take it home for a few bucks. Tie Dye and Bongos. I think it’s almost perfect. I’ve got a few things that I wouldn’t mind putting out on a table for the day.

Pretty Shades of Wood

I have always enjoyed seeing the nice wood armouries that different people have their bedrooms and guest rooms. I’ve seen some real sweet jewelry armouries online recently that I’ve been contemplating purchasing. You can get some nice deals online these days. I look for free shipping (both ways of course) and other incentives for online shoppers, discount codes and coupons are always welcomed.

Researching your purchase online is a whole lot faster and easier and takes a lot of the guess and leg work out of the task. My mother took me to the local Sam’s Club last week, she has been a member with them for a long time and I always enjoy going with her looking at all of their great deals. They had some armouries that we were seriously looking at together, checking out the different sizes, the different pretty shades of wood and prices. I never really realized all the different types that they have out these days.

Now that I’ve seen some up close and personal like I feel better about looking online to find the best deal or possibly going back to Sam’s with my mother. One way or another I’m going to own a nice looking wooden armouries of my very own, especially since my mother intends to pass her’s down to my older sister to be kept in the family.

We Are Creatures Of Habit

It really all boils down to what you get used to. I remember an interview that I attended way back in they day. This manager during this initial interview was all about how we are all “Creatures of Habit” and “It’s All In Who You Know and Who You Are Related To” both are very good points and things that we could discuss until the end of time and still have plenty to say about.

I got that job and this manager was really the best manager that I have ever had the pleasure to work for and along side of. I remember how upset I was after only working there for one year that he was being transferred and a new guy was coming in. It went down hill from there, but I still in touch with some of the good folks that I worked there with and from what I hear this particular manager is still employed with them and is doing just fine and I always send my regards with the people that are still in touch with him after all these years. I would love to be able to use him as a reference in any future employment searches.

Body Pillow Cover

Twill Cover for Body Pillow

And yes I am most definitely am a creature of habit and I worry sometimes how I would survive if a disaster of a magnificent magnitude occurred, since I have become so dependent of so many things for my comfort and enjoyment on a daily and nightly basis for most of my life. The one thing that comes right to mind is my pillow, if it isn’t my pillow then I don’t get the sleep I need. I really should have bought two of them at the time, if I had only known! And if I don’t have one of my body pillows (thank goodness I have three of them and am always looking for new ones to try) I fear that I would be up all night and that wouldn’t be healthy for me or anyone else around me!
