I am hoping that maybe businesses will adapt to the situation by letting their employees work four ten-hour days a week so that they will not have to commute five days a week. In order to do that, however, the day care providers need to be willing to extend their hours. I feel really bad for the people in rural areas where services like that are hard to find.

I know that it is important to thin the deer population, to keep them from starving in the winter time, but it still makes me sad to see such beautiful animals hunted down. And there is almost always at least one accidental fatal shooting of a hunter each season, or of an innocent resident. Sometimes someone shoots a cow, or a horse by mistake. Every time I go outside I think about the poor woman who was accidentally killed several years ago because she was outside in her yard and a hunter shot her because he thought her white mittens were a deer’s tail flagging!

Hunting season can’t end soon enough as far as I’m concerned.

Yesterday I was in a waiting room that had a March 2011 issue of Reader’s Digest in large print, so I picked it up and started flipping pages to find something interesting to read for the short time that I was left waiting for my turn to be seen. I was overwhelmed with surprise and was delighted to find that I had no trouble reading a single word the whole time I was reading it. So I am going to look into a subscription of the large print editions and start enjoying reading this well known and well established publication without straining my eyes any more. I don’t know if there is an extra charge for the large print, but I’ll be finding out soon with the help of the good old Internet. In fact I think I’ll look into it as soon as I sign off of here tonight.

I have to believe that the people from those islands must be some of the most lucky people around, being born and raised there, I can only imagine what that must be like. And then there are the people that get to visit and enjoy their brief stay there seeing the sites and taking it all in. Then there are folks like me, the ones that can only dream of such things, but a girl can dream can’t she?

On Yahoo tonight the first thing that popped up was about some Sharp-Eyed Viewers Catch Fox’s “MasterChef” Faking A Huge Crowd so I had to check it out what they had to say and then post it here. Anyway I have stumbled onto a pretty cool Fitness Directory – Health Directory at the-health-directory.net. When I find a good thing I like to pass it on and here on my blog has become a good way for me to fulfil my need to do just that on occasion. This website is still growing but I like the direction that it is going, so take a look see and you might learn something that will save your butt or someone else’s that you care about. Knowledge is power, to be sure.

These Kool-Aid Balls are being sold on boardwalks, concession stands, carnivals and festivals all over. I’m surprised I had not heard or seen these new food oddities, but I’ll being looking out now. I’ve always liked Kool-Aid and I’d give them a try, who knows……

They are scrutinized while out and about trying to conduct their normal business and responsibilities to and with their family and friends. And after seeing all of the “important people” with their jogging attire, tattered jeans and other quick and comfortable clothes that you throw on for parts of the day, they then cut apart and pick apart what these celebrities are wearing in the evening. It just goes on and on, who knows when and where it will all end.

Since I have always had a soft spot for the VW Beatle and am very into the green movement, I thought this was a great photo to share here today.
