Compression hosiery

For many years I have had to wear firm compression pantyhose to treat my varicose veins. Recently I gained a lot of weight and the pantyhose were having trouble accommodating the extra weight, so I decided to try knee-highs for a while, and try to lose some weight. The knee highs for women seem to only be available in the retail stores in the mild compression, so I went online looking to order some firm compression knee highs. I ended up finding some that are completely foot-less, so they are very much like leg warmers. I decided to try them, and ordered several pair. They’ve arrived, and I have them on. I think I like them! I’m thinking that with this time of stocking I might be able to wear a larger variety of shoes in the future, especially sandals!

I’ve been reading some of the nomorerack reviews on the Internet and have been interested enough to go online to the site myself to score some nomorerack deals of my own. To be perfectly honest, I’ve been quite impressed by the prices and the entire concept; they post eight new deals every day at noon. The prices are cut-rate. And they even have what they call “insanity deals” because the prices are crazy low.

So far I have not been lucky enough to get to the website at the right time to grab up an insanity deal, but trust me on this one, I will keep going back to see if I can catch it. With a little bit of luck, I just might be able to grab one up!

I haven’t been to a Trade Show in a , so I was some time now, so I’m real excited to have accepted an invitation to attend one with a gal that I used to work with who knows some one that is setting up a booth with numerous displays for his new small business. Anyone who is brave enough to start their own business during these years of economic unrest gets my support. This friend is going to need some help carting all of his stuff in there, like his brand new customized logo canopy for starters and with the set up of all the equipment that he purchased online and just now had delivered and is anxious to put to good use.

He has just received the logo mats, and the special made trade show carpet right in the nick of time for this particular Trade Show that he has been wanting to participate it for quite some time. This is a big deal for him. So we will help him with all of that as well as the work that will be involved with the tear down, the packing along with the loading part that I’m sure my back will be screaming at me about the next day.

I hope that he has a good amount of promotional give-a-ways to hand out. I think I’ll take a look-see online and see what new and cool promotional products they have out now a days. They really have some nifty promotional items that you can have personalized.

A too-full closet is no good

I always said that you could never have too many clothes. But I guess that I’ve gotten to that point where I have so many clothes that I’ve even forgotten some of the things that I have. And then I also have a whole lot of trouble figuring out where any of my clothing items are that I would like to wear. So I have to say that organizing my closet was a necessity instead of more than an exercise.

I’ve tried to organize my closet over the years, but it’s been way too long since I’ve been able to bear throwing something away. It’s just too much emotional anguish for me. So I went online to see if I could find some ideas about what exactly I could do differently this time. When I was searching for that, I ran across some cable and internet packages and after I showed them to my husband I decided to change over our home service to one of those packages.

I invested in some additional shelves and hooks to put in my closet so that once I got everything organized and threw away some stuff, I would be able to see what I have better. They really came in handy for my purses and belts.

We all hear how much money we can save by checking around and getting quotes with various insurance companies. That is something that would have taken hours or even days back in the day before the Internet came into play and we had to rely on our handy dandy local yellow pages (the old paper version). These days it is a much easier process and one that I urge everyone to give a try and see how much money they can save.

I can tell you first hand that I wasn’t all that interested in switching insurance companies. I have been with my agent for over 20 years, I actually worked for him for a short time when he first started his agency, so I felt a loyalty to him, big time. But times are hard and money is an issue, so I took a chance and looked around and was surprised to find that I could be paying a whole lot less, $50 a month, with another carrier. It was hard calling my agent and letting him know that I had decided to switch insurance companies, but he was very understanding and told me that I have to do what I have to do in order to get by in today’s economic crisis. He also told me that he appreciated me calling him directly to inform him of my decision instead of calling the 800 number and canceling my long standing policy with the Regional office. It wasn’t an easy call to make but I’m glad that I did.

A Safer Home For Little Kids

I’ve found that there are a lot of child safety tips that work just as well for pets as they do for children. Many baby proofing items such as cabinet latches and baby gates are a good idea to keep unwanted visitors from going where they shouldn’t go! I think it is wonderful that there are so many products available on the market to help ensure the safety of babies, toddlers, and small children. I can remember when I was younger that my parents tried to make their own safety products to keep us safe.

I think part of the issue at that time was that perhaps some of the products were on the market, but not widely advertised anywhere. And without the Internet to allow consumers to search the global marketplace to see what items are available, and without YouTube videos to show us how to install the products that a lot of people resorted to doing without or trying to reinvent the wheel.

I think that it is great that people in the medical field are now allowed to wear a wider variety of medical uniforms instead of the old starched white uniforms like they were made to wear in previous years. From what I understand you can now even order custom made scrubs ordered at sites such as http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/Original-Scrubs/have to offer men and women alike.

I know what it is like having to wear a “uniform” to work day after day, it does get stale after just a short time, so I really think it is cool that there is now such a great selection of these medical uniforms for all of medical professionals that work so hard on some of the craziest schedules that you can imagine. Feeling good about what you are wearing can make a big difference in your attitude and your work effort, am I right? Girls Flip Flops On Clearance

I have always had a smaller than average pair of feet and that can be a real pain in the rear at times when trying to find a decent pair of shoes. I have to admit that they are getting a bit better at helping women in my position but they still have a long way to go in order to make a big difference for us.

The one good thing that comes out of this is that many times I end up wearing girls shoes and they tend to be a bit cheaper then women’s shoes. Right now is a good time to buy girls flip flops, dirt cheap since summer is way over and winter is right around the corner. I just picked up several pairs of girls flip flops on clearance for $1.50 a piece, the same ones in women’s sizes were going for $2.50, so I was happy for having small feet right then I can tell you that!

The only thing worse than having smaller than average feet would be having larger than average feet. I can’t see any thing good coming out of that situation, but not having to deal with that I really wouldn’t know. They say that will all bad there is good and with all good there is bad!

New Recipe I Wanted ToTry

A friend at work gave me a delicious recipe that I want to try – a pumpkin roll that was stuffed with cream cheese. Well this morning I went grocery shopping for the ingredients and I could not find a single can of pumpkin! I tried canned fruit aisle. I tried canned veggie aisle. And I tried the aisle where they sell sugar and flour and canned pie fillings. Nothing! Nada! Zip! Zilch! Zero! What a bummer…..

Plus Size Clothing Issues

It really is depressing to know that the days of being called “Tiny Tina” are long gone. Not only was I called that because I am vertically challenged but I was always on the slender side, so that nickname fit me to the T! These days I am shopping for plus size clothing for women and doing most of that online since you can find a much larger variety and better selection on the Internet than you can find bouncing around from store to store around here.

I am all ready getting worked up and all of the holidays that are coming up here real soon. I always gain more weight during the holidays and the cold winter weather months, as most people do that are battling with their weight gain issues. With Halloween coming up and all of the candies that are handed out so freely everywhere I turn it really bites not being able to enjoy a nice sweet treat once in while and on certain occasions, and you don’t even want to get me started on all of the goodies that come our way for Thanksgiving and Christmas, sigh…
